Before Kettle Flex, Shneur ran a carpet cleaning business. He was active — always had been — but years of physical work had caught up with him. Chronic shoulder and back injuries were limiting what he could do and how he felt every day.

In 2010 he started training under Al Lowrimore, one of San Diego's premier RKC-certified kettlebell coaches. What happened over the next year changed everything. The injuries that had plagued him for years began to improve. His strength, mobility, and energy were better than they'd ever been. He didn't just get fitter — he got fixed.

He couldn't stop thinking about one thing: why didn't more people know about this?

"Kettlebells didn't just make me stronger. They gave me back a body I thought I'd lost." — Shneur

In 2011 Shneur opened Kettle Flex Fitness on El Cajon Blvd in San Diego. Not because it was a business opportunity — but because he genuinely believed kettlebell training was the most effective tool most people had never tried, and he wanted to prove it.

One thing he'd seen too many times at other gyms bothered him: classes so large that trainers couldn't give real attention to the people who needed it most. At Kettle Flex, he built the opposite — a maximum of 10 people per class, every session coach-led, every member known by name.

More than a decade later, that hasn't changed. Shneur is still on the floor, still coaching, still personally invested in every member's progress. He's a San Diego native, father of twin boys, and a committed dog dad — and he brings that same energy and care to every class he runs.
